Styles of Architectural Designs

From traditional building, elite design house of modern architecture and style has experienced phenomenal change. Modern architects usually take inspiration and guidance from the old style of architecture to build something classy and functional. Chilotan style Architecture

Chilotan Architecture was popular style of architecture. The architectural style is looked in Chiloe Island and all around areas. All earlier homes built with wood and shingle roof are also included in the construction.

Gothic style Architecture

Gothic architecture was popular during the medieval period. There are certain characteristics that are highly symbolic in Gothic architecture such as the pointed arches, large individual windows, flamboyant designs and an emphasis on the creation of vertical lines in the design. Gothic stressed the vertical plane and a stone skeleton structure features.

Building materials typically used in Gothic architecture was the original stone. But in northern Germany, Scandinavia, and Northern Poland, where the original stones are not available, simplified using bricks. Gothic brick buildings associated with the Hanseatic League, an alliance of trading cities of Northern Europe. There are more than 100 brick Gothic castles in Northern Poland was built by the Teutonic Knights. French Gothic style has different sub-styles, including Rayonnant and Flamboyant style. French Gothic cathedral is very decorated by sculptures outside and inside painting. They are built for several periods in a row and change the dominant architectural style across specific building. In the UK, the broader Gothic style revived as a decorative.

Victorian style Architecture

In American architecture, Victorian style is very popular during the period between 1860 and 1900. It was called Victoria because this style over the last few decades of Queen Victoria's reign in England. This architectural style is quite easy to identify. Victorian houses usually have a multi textured walls and sometimes multi colored wall on the outside. The front of the building is more often asymmetrical with a steep roof. Other than that, detailed style on both the interior and exterior are adapted from the previous classic style. However, this does not confuse you into thinking that it is a Victorian style from one side. There are several variations of this style overlapping each other, sometimes without a clear difference in the make-up. In fact, there are six types of Victorian styles that have different characteristics.
